Don't underestimate this animated "kids show."
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an extensive upgrade to the prequels. Set between the events of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, the show introduces new characters such as Anakin's apprentice (Ahsoka), it also humanizes the previously faceless clone troopers, and fleshes out major characters.
Season Seven.
The Clone Wars' 7th and final season is the most powerful. Most notable is it's the last 4 episode arch depicting the Seige of Mandalore and Order 66. The arch has everything one could ask for - Republic invasion and ensuing battle, an epic lightsaber duel, a harrowing escape, and Darth Maul. Did I mention Darth Maul? His voice and message about Anakin is chilling and thought provoking. The show adds another dimension to Revenge of the Sith.
